We really gave it our all and ultimately finished the race in P3.
After another not-quite-perfect one-lap qualifying, we started the race from P4. Nevertheless, we had an incredible launch at the start and were able to move directly up to P2.
In the first five laps, we were even able to put multiple champion Coque Lopez under strong pressure and show that we definitely have the pace for the top. After that, we unfortunately lost our flow a bit and couldn't quite maintain a consistent pace. As a result, we were later overtaken by Siro Zambra and ultimately finished the race in 3rd place.
Of course, I'm never completely satisfied with a third place. Nevertheless, we also have to look at the positives: After four races, we've been on the podium every single time on track. This is an enormous improvement compared to last season and clearly shows that we have developed further.
With this result, we are now going into the summer break in 4th place in the overall standings. Our clear goal remains to come back even stronger after the break and attack 3rd place in the championship.
In addition to sim racing, there's a lot going on this summer. We will spend a lot of time at the real racetrack. Unfortunately not yet as a driver — but as an instructor.
As many of you know, I have already been on the Anneau du Rhin racetrack in France several times in recent years. Now I have the opportunity to be part of the Fredy Barth family and to participate in the upcoming Formula BMW Experience Events as a junior instructor. This gives me extremely valuable experience for my further path in real motorsport.
At the same time, we are working intensively behind the scenes on the next steps towards real motorsport. Unfortunately, I can't say too much about that right now — but we're staying on it and giving it our all.
Additionally, during the summer break, we will be participating in a 10-round Porsche Cup Esports Series by the Apex Racing League to stay sharp for the last four races of the Racing Unleashed RU1 season.
